The way that it zooms in on the skeletons in a book of dinosaurs is a showing that the create in question is clearly a prehistoric one or if not mimic some aspects of the dinosaurs' behaviour and/or bone structure and body language and therefore needs to be studied. Also by the use of documentation that dates back to prehistoric science and theology it shows that it is something that is unusual and rare in today's society so no further research that had been taken. The intense, non diegetic music sets a tense mood for the scene leaving the audience on edge and in anticipation of what is going to happen. The shots of the newspapers saying "Disaster" and "Catastrophe" makes the audience intrigued into what made such a terrible event happen. By showing only the scales accending from the lake it scares, shocks and draws the audience in as a result of the vast scale and size of the beast presented before them
