Account of shoot day

We arrived at school normal time, and after breakfast went to the media idea so that what we wanted to shoot through out the day was clear. We left for Cornhill, where we shot the opening sequence in the end, at around 10:30. Here we met Simon who came from outside of school to be our main actor. Throughout the morning we wanted to get through the majority of the shots that we needed to get from inside the house with Simon. We spent the whole morning just filming the scene inside the two bedrooms that we used. This left us thinking that we may not have enough time to film the rest in the afternoon. Cornhill was good as it had a hotel environment which was exactly what we were looking for.

We went back to school for lunch at 12;30 and took a rest. We headed back to Cornhill at around 1:00, where we finished shooting Simons shots inside the house. We then went on outside to film his drive away shots, which i think went very well due to his driving fitting the sequence perfectly. Then our two "heavies Adam and Ted were needed, at this point Simon left as we had shot all we needed with him. We filmed them firstly inside and then our last shots were them arriving at the "hotel".

Overall i think that the shooting went really well and that we worked well as a unit. Throughout the shoot day we came up with new ideas for shots we hadn't thought of before, some of which have potential to look good if edited properly. Each of us did some directing and some filming so we all got a fair share of the experience. I'm looking forward to pulling it all together and seeing what we can do with some of the shots that we didn't expect to have. We came pretty well prepared, but still weren't sure on some of the shots we wanted, this however enabled us to try different shooting techniques that arguably worked better.
